Application of spray finish to new plasterboard walls and ceiling surfaces throughout the industrial unit to achieve a professional matt black finish suitable for industrial requirements.
Equipment and Tools Utilised
Primary Equipment: Graco ST Max 2 Airless Spray Pump
Access Equipment: Scissor lift for ceiling and high wall access
Supporting Tools: Standard preparation and cleaning equipment
Materials Used
Paint System: Tikkurilla Vinyl Matt ‘Full Matt Black’
Preparation: 50% mistcoat solution (50% water, 50% paint)
Finish: Full strength topcoat application
Work Programme
Total Duration: 3 night shifts
Day 1 – Surface Preparation
Comprehensive dusting down of all surfaces
Removal of surface dust residue left from tape and jointing operations
Surface inspection and preparation for coating application
Day 2 – Mistcoat Application
Application of 50% mistcoat solution (50% water, 50% paint ratio)
Full coverage of prepared plasterboard surfaces
Quality control and coverage verification
Day 3 – Topcoat Application
Application of full strength Tikkurilla Vinyl Matt topcoat
Final inspection and touch-up work as required
Equipment cleaning and site clearance
